Episode 28 – Slow Geeks in Running Shoes

In this show, the Geeks are happy to have Zen Runner (@zenrunner) and Eddie Marathon (@edmarathon) from the Slow Runner’s Club on the show (download here).

Zen and Eddie talk about their show, the “Slow Runner’s Club” and recount Zen’s first marathon, 2010′ s Marine Corps Marathon in Washington, D.C.  We also discuss the discomfort caused felt by newbie runners.  The Pearl Izumi “Respect the Distance” ad sparks some controversy.

We also talk about the Warrior Dash. Jason is considering doing the Missouri one on October 15, 2011.  Ray talks about his upcoming race plans including the Shamrock 8k, the Chicago half marathon and the Chicago full marathon.

The gaggle of us move on to discuss the movement that is the Mojo Loco!  **Special announcement! Dr. Leslie Lam (@runninglam)will be joining us as a special guest of Mojo St Loco.

    Favoritest show yet. I worry about obsessing over speed instead of celebrating my accomplishment of sticking to running. Loved the show.
