Episode 18 – Run Ansky, Run!

This episode (download here), the geeks are delighted to welcome Ari (@runanskyrun) of the RunAnskyRun blog to shed some light on healthy run/life balance. Ari had some good insight and tips on how fit in long runs without messing up your family and social life.

The guys also learned about Jewish customs and Ari had some tips on Kosher running nutrition and fueling. Other topics of discussion included the controversy over the 2011 IronMan Kona date selection. Should the event planners have selected a date that did not fall on Yom Kippur (10/08/2011)? Have they pretty much eliminated all potential Jewish entrants? We think so, what do you think?

During the episode, we also announced the Live Show Recording that is scheduled for November 27th, 4 PM CST on Ustream. So, this thanksgiving, after you have feasted on Thursday and shopped all day Friday – spend a relaxing Saturday afternoon with us as we record our 20th episode of Geeks in Running Shoes which will include our first ever giveaway (Details) – thanks to the fine folks over at Zensah.  They will be providing give-aways for the live show, so make sure you tune in!
