This episode, (download here) the Geeks are happy to be back! Raymond did some P90X, went to Africa, and signed up for 2 races in Chicago. Jason graduated, signed up for a half marathon with his wife, and survived monster hail.

Great show guys! Glad to hear an update.
Thanks Horacio! We still gotta follow up on your running guest tips.
Yay for new episodes! Ray, I totally have the tales of a brand-new triathlete for you – I did my first sprint in March, and I have an Olympic coming up next week. Two tidbits for you: 1. If you let Coach Jeff get to you, he will talk you into doing things you never intended on doing. Just sayin’. 2. Even if you don’t plan to start racing until 2013, it will do you a world of good if you start working on the swim this year, if it’s pretty much new to you. That seems to be the biggest learning curve for new triathletes, and I was lucky enough to have a decade of solid swim experience (and doubly lucky enough that it came back to me after 20 years away), so I only had to start from nearly scratch on the bike. Plus, it’s good non-impact cross-training for running.
Thanks for sharing your experience Sarah. Yeah the swimming is still pretty rough but I am hearing similar things. I need to start the prep now if I wanna be successful next year. Good luck on your tri this weekend!
