Episode 49 – One Year in Review

Geeks in Running Shoes - New ArtworkThis episode (download here), we take you down memory lane through a year of Geeks in Running Shoes. It has been a very exciting year of producing GiRS episodes. You have heard us go through the technical difficulties of producing a weekly podcast. We’ve learned a great deal about podcasting and we are really glad that you have stuck with us – because we know that its been very rocky at times.

Most importantly though, you have heard us progress as runners over the past 49 episodes. As you know we literally started as non-runners and just like many of you, we have made our way though quite a few hurdles – fighting injuries, figuring out training, balancing life and the running, running in the cold…the list goes on. Luckily – with a little perseverance and A LOT of help from you, we were able to experience the triumph of crossing the finish lines at a few races over the past year. Besides that, we did learn a few random things along the way that did not necessarily help our running but kept us entertained nonetheless - Half Marathon Special. We hope that as we enter our second year of the show that you will continue supporting and encouraging us as go on this journey to becoming actual runners.

We hope you enjoy this short episode and that you will join us next Sunday, July 17th at 8pm CST as we celebrate our 50th episode live on our ustream channel.

Until then, leave feedback on iTunes,  email questions and comments to feedback [at] GeeksInRunningShoes [dot] com or just ‘like us’ on facebook! Also follow us on Twitter, Jason (@guttocutwl) and Ray (@adeyemiking).

Peace!

One Response to Episode 49 – One Year in Review

Hey guys, found your show about a month and a half ago. Listened to the whole year’s worth condensed into those six weeks. Great stuff. But now I’m sad, because I have to wait around for the next episode each week, like everyone else. Well, at least you introduced me to the 3 Non Joggers, and I have 30-something episodes of them to catch up with. Looking forward to following your progress in real time now.
